Liam Gallagher On Watching 'Love Island' Every Night

The Oasis legend has told Radio X why he thinks the reality dating show is "where it's at" ahead of tonight's final.

Love Island has captured the nation's hearts this year, and even managed to claim a mega-fan in Liam Gallagher.

Speaking to Radio X as part of a longer interview that we'll be broadcasting soon, the Oasis man has told us why he's so into the reality show, and revealed his girlfriend Debbie Gwyther has a lot to do with it.

"I’m watching it every night," he confessed. "Well, Saturday they don’t show it, do they? The c**ts. You’ve got to do something else. It’s not cool, man. I’ve got to do things on a Saturday now, go out and shit you know what I mean?"

The Wall Of Glass singer added: "I like it man, but I don’t truly understand the bit where they’ve got to kip on the floor, outside. I’m just into the fact that it’s shit, you know what I mean? It’s just stupid. I’m not getting anything out of it. I’m not learning anything out of it, it’s just on.

But what's the secret to truly appreciating Love Island? "You’ve got to commit from early days," explained the Rock 'N' Roll Star.

He continued: "It’s not my doing, it’s Debbie’s doing. I’ve only got one TV in the house. She’s the boss when it comes to that. I have Saturdays and Sundays with the football, and now there’s no football on, it becomes Debbie’s TV.

"So Love Island it is. But I’m into it, actually, so it’s alright. It’s good to talk about it. There’s a lot of guys out there now, thinking, sitting there thinking, Thank FUCK for that, mate. It’s good, mate. Love Island’s where it’s at."

"You don’t know what you’re missing. It’s great. Young people, HAVING FUN. Without a care in the world."

Love Island's live final - which will crown either Kem Cetinay and Amber Davis, Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood or Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow as its winners - airs tonight on ITV2 from 9pm.

No doubt Gallagher will be glued to the TV screen, after resting following his slot at Lollapalooza Paris this weekend.

Liam Gallagher will have a short break before returning to the road to appear at Canada's Osheaga Music & Arts festival, playing South-East Asia before heading back to the UK for Reading & Leeds Festival 2017, which will see Muse, Kasabian and Eminem headline.

Gallagher might be preparing to release his debut solo album on 6 October, but he better watch out, because he could face some stiff competition from this tot in a few

Noel Gallagher Says Touring With U2 Is The Most Fun He's Ever Had

Noel Gallagher is on support duty for U2 at Croke Park tomorrow and the ex-Oasis man has been lording praise on the Irish rockers.

The High Flying Birds frontman has been on the road with U2 for a number of their shows for The Joshua Tree 2017 tour. which is hitting Croke Park this Saturday night.

Noel, 50, visited the iconic Barcelona Stadium ahead of his gig with U2 on Tuesday and let slip that Bono often texts him with updates on  League matches.

Speaking to the FC Barcelona website Noel said: “I was speaking to (Bono) this morning and I was telling him I was coming here and he said, 'Wow, Barcelona.”

Noel added: “I’m not sure he’s affiliated with any particular club.

For instance you wouldn’t think he was a football fan but then on the day that City won the league against QPR (Queen's Park Rangers) I think he was the first person to text me.

“I’m not sure if he’s a football supporter but he’s a football fan for sure.”

The Joshua Tree Tour kicked off in Vancouver in May and will wrap in Sao Paolo in October.

Bono, Larry Mullen Jnr, Adam Clayton and the Edge are set for a mega-show tomorrow which will see more than 80,000 fans descend on GAA HQ.

Next stop is Paris, then across Europe and back to the US.

The jam-packed tour is hectic but Gallagher said being on the road with the Dublin rockers is “absolutely amazing.”

He said: "I've been touring in one form or another for over 25 years and this is the most fun I've ever had."

Heaping praise on the Joshua Tree hitmakers, Noel said the best thing about the tour is he gets to see his favourite band every night.

He explained: “I’m only on stage for an hour, I’m off stage at eight or half, have something to eat, have a drink, watch U2, have two days off.”

Not only does he get to hang with the world’s biggest band he also has his wife and kids in tow.

He continued: "We're playing in all the great cities in Europe. My family are on the road with me [and] my friends. It's been absolutely amazing. [U2] have been absolutely brilliant every night. They're one of my favourite bands ever."

Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds will kick off his set at 7pm with U2 expected on stage around 8.30pm.

Doors will open at 5pm and fans are advised to get there in plenty of time as extra security measures will be in place.

Liam Gallagher Is Looking Forward To Playing For ‘Mental’ Korean Fans

It has been 26 years since the world was introduced to Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel -- a pair of “s---heads,” according to the singer’s own words -- but the 44-year-old singer has never let up, now leading a solo career in his post-Oasis and Beady Eye years.

“I’ve been doing this for more than 25 years, I don’t think I’ve got anything more to ‘prove,’” said Liam Gallagher, when asked what keeps him going, in a joint interview with Korean media. “I just want to keep making music. I still believe I’m one of the greatest rock ’n’ roll singers on the planet. So I just want to sing. I can’t do anything else.”

Gallagher will visit Korea on Aug. 22 for his first concert in the country as a solo artist, accompanied by the legendary rock band Foo Fighters.

In the concert, titled “Live Forever Young,” the former Oasis front man will perform hits by Oasis along with songs from his solo album “As You Were.”

Marking his first return in five years, Gallagher expressed his excitement in meeting the Korean fans he described as “mental.”

While he said he liked Japanese fans’ “chill and nice” demeanor, he said he liked the Korean fans for being “more punk and more crazy.”

Gallagher is coming off a surprise appearance at the “One Love Manchester” benefit concert, held in response to the May terrorist bombing at an Ariana Grande concert that left nearly two dozen dead.

While the schedule originally would have made it impossible for him to perform, Gallagher insisted on finishing his earlier gig in Germany to show support.

“It was a no-brainer. I wanted to be there because it’s my hometown and I wanted to show that I support them. Put a few smiles on people,” he said. “It’s terrible. We are all living in a strange, horrible world. But you got to just keep going about your business.”

Playing in Manchester has always had a special place in Gallagher’s heart, as his favorite gig remains playing at Maine Road where he used to watch the Manchester City soccer team as a young fan.

From a soccer-loving little kid in Manchester to a rock legend, music has shaped Gallagher’s life.

“It (music) means everything. It saved me from being ... God knows where. It gave me a great life. It gave me a reason to wake up in the morning,” he said.

When asked to describe his dream band, Gallagher said it would have Keith Moon on drums, John Entwistle on the bass and Jimi Hendrix and Keith Richards on lead and rhythm guitars, respectively. While he said he wanted to sing on this “Odd Squad,” Gallagher said he did not mind taking the back seat to Steve Jones from Sex Pistols.

Gearing up for the Seoul concert, he advised Korean fans to just enjoy themselves.

“Stay cool, stay safe, come out and let’s have lots of fun,” he said.

The event will be held on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in southern Seoul.

Bugzy Malone Gives Oasis Nod In New Video

The Manchester rapper was given permission by Noel Gallagher to use Wonderwall lyrics in his Memory Lane track.

A grime star has borrowed the lyrics from classic Oasis track, Wonderwall, for his Memory Lane video.

Bugzy Malone references the song from his fellow Mancunians in more ways than one, using lyrics from the band's 1995 anthem- with Noel Gallagher's blessing.

In the clip, the rapper - whose real name is Aaron Davis - sings: "Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you/By now you should've somehow realised what you're not to do/I don't believe that anybody/ I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now".

That's not the only nod the MC makes to the original, either, also paying homage by sitting in warehouse and in black and white, and starting the video by turning on a TV set.

As Clash reports,  the MC recalled the moment he was given Noel Gallagher's blessing, revealing: “Two or three days later after spending all of my own money on the video, I get the call: ‘By the way Noel Gallagher said you can use the lyrics.’

"It was massive so we had to change it back, and we had to tweak it to use some of the new video content. It was a case of taking what we had in the first video and making a tribute to the Oasis video so we tied the two together, just so I didn’t end up wasting a load of money. But it worked perfectly, and I just couldn’t believe that he said yes.”
