Oasis Definitely The Best Ever




















Britpop veterans Oasis have cleaned up in the all-time album charts.

Definitely Maybe from 1994 was voted top of the 50 Best Ever British Albums with the 1995 follow-up (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? second.

The Manchester band, fronted by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, beat classics by The Beatles, The Clash and The Stone Roses in a poll by music mag Q and retailer HMV.

Radiohead’s 1997 masterpiece OK Computer came third while Amy Winehouse was the only female on the list, with Back To Black at 35.

Q editor Paul Rees said: “Having polled three times more votes than any other act, Oasis are undoubtedly the nation’s most loved band.”
